Meet Our Leaders

Deacon Chavis was born in Charlotte, NC on January 24th, 1967. He came into the Apostolic Church under the late Bishop R.L. Hancock when he was 5 years old and has been growing in the Lord steadily ever since. Deacon Chavis and his lovely wife, Sis. April Chavis have been married for nearly 40 years and have two wonderful daughters, Sis. Holli Chavis Griffith and Sis. Angel Robledo, and a son, Michael Chavis Jr. Deacon Chavis was ordained in 2018 under the late Pastor of Deacon Chavis's previous church, Pastor Michael J. Hedgecoe. When Deacon Chavis isn't bringing the gospel of Jesus Chris over the pulpit or working, he is doing anything and everything for the benefit of the church and God's people.

Isaiah 9:6-7 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
